The 55lb Haswing bow mounts are on sale atm for $399 down from close to 1K!! Im just wondering why theyre so cheap though. Anyone on here got experience with them? Are they worth bothering with?

Why were they so expensive to begin with?

I have no experience with one personally, but would guess they are a case of 'you get what you pay for' and could be more trouble than they're worth!

Haswing has been an ABT sponsor and to be honest i have had problems with both watersnake and minnkota in the past. My new boat has a motorguide so ill have to see how it goes. If i was in the market for a new motor i would definately look at ALL options incl haswing

That's cheap. I have a motor guide digital. I could have brought 3 of them for the same price and had change for a battery. Could be a good option.

We've sold quite a few where I work and so far have had good feedback. The way I see it is that they can't really be compared to Minn Kota/Motorguide quality wise but for the price and inclusion of all accessories I think they have their place.

I've sold roughly 15 of these and have had none come back with any issue what so ever which is a great sign of product reliability. $399, I'd give it a shot!

I just find the foot pedal to be huuuuuuuge.

I have had 1 on my 3.5 m Tinnie for over 2 years recently put it on my 4.6 m boat and foot pedal has had lots of problems.Hand remote works great other than dont have as many features as minn Kota
Other than foot pedal moves the boat very well and for the price can't complain
