$2.50 hardbodies from kmart

Hello All

Has anyone used the cheap 2 for $5 hardbodies from kmart on estuary bream and had success on them?

I've used them on tandans and the hooks straighten when even small tandans hit the lure but the action seems fair for $2.50 a pop and wanted to know if any uses these lures for bream.

Thanks

Not sure exactly which lures you're talking about, what brand are they? I've used the cheapo Kokoda Sprogs (SX40 rip off) a fair bit and they do work on bream. They need a bit of tuning and they don't work as well as the real thing, but at a quarter of the price they're certainly worth it.

Save your money and buy something decent. Look in the classifieds section or on some of the facebook pages as often decent second hand lures going cheap.
I think a lot of people buy these lures and cant tune them and give up on throwing lures. They are in the bargain bin for a reason.

It is always good to have some cheaper lures to throw into spots you are not sure about but in the long run your money could be better served picking up some great new or second hand lures from the BM members . Regards, HBt.

Nothing wrong with cheaper lures from bigw or kmart, but check if they swim correctly as I've found on cheaper lures every second does not. Really doesn't give confidence.

If youre smashing snags, like others mentioned throw the cheap stuff first in there

thanks everyone for your input

I just save me money instead and buy a better lure and use the cheapies for throwing at snags I haven't fished before.

Also kando and slazmo they are the lures in kmart (kmart brand sportfisher I think) that are in a twin pack in cheap cardboard/plastic packaging and look simler to atomic hardz crank 38 but look cheap (paint job and trebles)
