Create a double overhand knot. Thread the tag end through your hook. With the tag end thread it through the space created by the double overhand twice and lubricate and tighten. It appears to work but I haven't caught a big fish to test it.

I've given this a test too. You're basically tying a Leftys loop and incorporating a slim beauty style double granny.
From what I understand, the granny is the weakest point of the knot, so doubling that should help.
Tried it on some 6lb maxima and it is stronger than a normal Leftys, that's for sure.
