I think he is going to fibreglass in 2 large airtight chambers that take up about 1/3rd of the deck space - one up front and one down back - so the hatches that open and close are the ones he has to worry about - those are the ones that will have foam seals

Cutting drainage holes in all the separate storage compartments and adding a bilge/bilges sounds like the safest option.
Agree he should add drainage holes and a bilge pump.

Th interesting part will be the fibreglassing.

Not much to the fibreglassing.

Can’t believe how much sanding was done.

Yeah theres a few man hours tied up in that project.

The sanding pads probably deserved their own line entry in the budget

Id have taken way more care when sanding. That epoxy/glass/bog dust is nasty toxic stuff. Loving the build though! Good share.

Yeah there was a couple of mentions of face masks and eye protection but neither of them got much use.

The only time I take off my face mask off is to have a ciggie break

Yeah it came out sweet.

I was wondering what sort of speed he would get out of the rig

If my memories serves me correctly, he was getting 50km per hour from the 18hp Tohatsu with a 9 inch prop and was going to try a 10 inch for a bit more top end speed.

I dont get much excited about internet things. Rarely click on links etc. But i was genuinely hooked! Actual suspense after part 5 ended! Partly cos i like building but mostly i think because he was such an easy likeable character. Awesome build, great dedication and on top of that, all the filming, commentary, editing.... what an effort! Loved that he shared in such great detail too. Step by steps and matching that up with vid times is really ott. I feel like i could build one!
