Why was the chicken tied to a stick?

Do you think it’d work on the Plenty River?

I dont see why not - If History repeats - you have a few months to get your hands on a chicken and some pipe

Sounds like the Plenty might be a good spot to give these a run

Back in the old days, we’d put a layer hen on some eggs. Had a pen with bird cage wire around it. Always put a couple of hard boiled eggs under the hen so that we’d know when a snake had been in taken the eggs. It’d take a while to crush the hard boiled eggs & provide a bit of a challenge when a crazy snake was ½ way through the wire

ahh clever - skinny on the way in and too fat to get out.
Reminded of a baboon catching/water finding technique. Dig a little hole into an anthill while baboons are watching - they are very inquisitive and wont be able to stop themselves coming over to see what you've been doing - place small round fruit into hole - baboon comes over and grabs fruit - you sprint over with net - the baboon has made a fist around the fruit and now his hand wont come out of the hole - he is so spooked he doesnt think to let go of the fruit, Then you tie the baboon to a stake out in the sun - feed him salt all day - then let him off the rope - he will sprint straight for the secret water stash Last edited by yellow door 1; 27-06-2018 at 03:34 AM. |

Just an eye trick.
The "chicken" is infact a baby chick.

I did a bit of research and found a pic of the "Chick" and his owner
The reason the chick is tied up is to protect the snake |
