This is what it looks like with 200m of 8.8kg, Sunline Braid 5 - (no backing - just 1 revolution of duct tape over the knot)

I just bought another to go in the box and use for $40...

Ugly as DohDohDohDoh but a great little performer for what it is.

I have this reel too. It has metal worm gear and pawl and plastic shroud.

Another reel converted to Boca Orange seal hybrid ceramics...spins for over a minute loaded with line.

Drag is ok but lapping drag washers flat turns it into a high end performer..

Cant see any problem with this reel long term. Its not as smooth as my Steez but then I got it from the bargin bin at the local tackle shop ' cos its a left hand wind. Suits me as a right hander as I was taught how to use rods and reels the right way that is a right handed cast and wind with the left. Whilst its very much a personal thing if you watch protracted fights fellas are switching hands cos the left just does not have the stamina of your dominant hand.

Would post a pic but cant find how to do that. Certainly NOT going to provide a URL link to my photoes.

Not sure why you cant post pics? Easy as pie on my phone?

Anyhow just going to service it when comes, polish the working surfaces and lap the main drag and clutch return plate and thats it.

Just going to use it for bass and nothing else really - should've kept my old one but knew resale was low and dropping fast at that stage, so sold it at the right time. Come forward 3 years and bam straight onto a near new in box for a meager price.

Honesty carbon copy of the G Curado just in a XT7G graphite body and frame. Nothing flash but they work very well for what they are - and lets be honest you dont need that much or bling for freshwater bass and company.

I am probably missnig something critical re posting pics cant figure what. Ah ha!! Think I've found it !!!!

Got my copy for $50 .....as you say its basic but with all 3 drag washers lapped 2x inside face only and centre done both its really very decent.

Cheers
