Super glue!!

Being a Hardbody tragic, i very rarely fish with softs. Last weekend i was staying with a fellow angler who is the opposite... A great tip he gave me involved the use of super glue
I planned on using some Zman grubs on day 2 of the comp and he said he always glues the head of the Zman's to the jig head , and that way he knows that if he gets a tap from a fish he can still confidently work the lure knowing it hasn't been pulled down the hook... i didn't have any on me for the day but many times i got the lure to the yak and it had been pulled down.. Buying some glue today for this weekends ABT

Also helps if you rig up a few at home before you head out... Can be a bit tricky fiddling round with SG on a yak... I always have a few pre-rigged / glued in the bag ready to roll.

Just be careful not to put too much glue on, as it starts to react with the head of the grub. Otherwise it's always worked a treat for me.

Oh oh and if the super glue ends up drying up and blocks the super glue from coming out, don't try and squeeze more out.. because it will end up bursting and you may stick your fingers together

This has happened to me a few times... one day i'll learn

Loctite is good.
I find the zman does react to the glue but it still holds ok & catches lots of fish so thats the main thing.

Don't need much, barely a smear on the lead is enough.

Went fishing up at Lane Cove river today but had to get some super glue first. First petrol station didn't have it the had to run around to find another one that did. Its a bit of a pain but worth it with the Z Mans. Pretty slow up there today.

I have never bothered with it. I think it come down to the jig heads u are using. The squidgie ones that have the little hook next to the lead hold it on fine i lose more to snags than having to fix them.

I've found using the new Headlockz TT Jigheads works well with the 2.5" Grubz as well. After super-gluing firstly my fingers together then to the reel handle *DOH* - Headlockz were a better option and held the Zman on perfectly well.

I've got the headlock jig heads and they work well. Would be good if they came in some smaller sizes though.
