first session

Went for my first session using soft plastics today sat 28, between 9.00am and 12.00 noon. walked the bank at clarkson reserve maylands, and then between bath reserve and tranby house. Dont know the river that much so it was a bit of a recky as well. All i got was a few hits and no hook ups.
Probably not up to speed on technique yet.
could probably do with a hand. If anyone with a bit of plastic experience is planning a session this week and doesnt mind showing a beginner a few pointers then post a reply or PM.
A little help would be much appreciated.

cheers kevvy.

Hi Kev, good to see you're getting a bit of action in terms of the hits

Persevere mate, it doesn't take too long to get the gist of it, the best advice I can give is that you can't fish too slow Heaps of pauses, twitches, hops - just mix it up until you get results

Have a good look through the posts on this site for what other guys are using and take it from there

I'd love to come for a fish, but it's a long way to tow the boat from NSW

Cheers,
