Thanks for the tip. My English Grandma used to run a Bed and Breakfast. Her roasts and Yorkshire puddings were phenomenal. Her secret ingredient, in anything that tasted good, was dripping. I might have to rekindle the family tradition

"Snag-Magnet Lures"

Decided to ditch the "Snag-Magnets" and just buy some crab lures.
Unweighted, they fall just like a natural - but they wont always ride hook side up. So I got the scissors out and started chipping lead off a 1/16th to see what could be done..... (I inadvertently created a stand up jig-head in the process, which will be used in other applications, but thats not what I was aiming for at the time) Last edited by yellow door 1; 06-04-2016 at 03:31 AM. |

no matter how much lead I took off - I could get the exact horizontal stance I was after for slack lining crabs down a pylon -
The drag of the line, may keep the attitude I like but I wast sure if it would - so I kept searching for a solution that worked in my test bucket.. Last edited by yellow door 1; 06-04-2016 at 03:03 AM. |

I was trying to get away from the "Arse first" sink when it hit me.
I said to myself - Larry you're a bloody genius with a proven track record of turning dreams into reality. Plus you dont mind stealing office supplies I borrowed a couple of staples and got to work. Made some "light" and some "ultra lights" |

Sticky tape aint gonna help for the truly top secret stuff.
I've included a shot of what they looked like before they started eating my shredded ideas - and a vid of what they look like after |

http://www.ehow.com/how_10058275_make-cork-expand.html The article said to use a steamer but I didnt want put dirty corks in my steamer. (they discoloured the boiled water like a very weak tea-bag) So I just filled the bottle with boiling hot water - then I taped the lid shut so the corks would float around in a steamy environment. I left them for about 15 mins. So according to the article, a steamer with a constant source of heat would get faster results. There every chance I've water logged the cork so I'll either let them air for a week - shove them down a heating vent over night - or chuck them in the oven before using them |
