Bait caster without internal brakes

Re-low profile bait caster with out the internal brakes..
I'm trying to understand these reels which only have the external magnetic brake adjuster,are they used for only light weighted lures or all size weighted lures.
Is there a advantage only having the external brake in saving adjusting fine tuning time,hope someone has used or got them in explaining there use
Or
What about the reel which only has internal centrifugal brakes without the magnets and has adjustable centrifugal brakes from the outside adjuster knob,no need to take off side cover.LEW's BB1 pro reels have got that set up not sure who else has.
