Hmm we better can the subject here on BM, someone will be upset. Her guys I've set up a FB group called JDM Tackle Junkies. We better discuss there.

are daiwa and mega bass pretty much the same company ?
the 2 bodies are identical, rotors are the same, line rollers, bail armonly thing different (that we can see visually) are the writing, colours and the handle.. maybe the drag knob

Not the same company. The nearly all MB lures are unique. Their rods are unique with exception of directz. Their reels are however modified daiwas with exception to the Paganis. Their watches, glass, boats etc are branded items.

I don't know... Those rods Chief uses don't look cheap. Better make it 2 pillow cases.

When the new Gaus 20X comes out I'll be after one of those MYCL. Maybe even 3 if they are good.... Rekon you can help with that?

Depends which one you buy. They're just built from daiwa parts basically. The Lin 258 is amazing, the Racing condition is OK, but nothing speacial, the Luvito is average. The gaus aren't out yet, but appear to have the caldia/exist zaion body and mag seal.
