MotorGuide foot pedal tips

hey all,
after playing around with the leccy on the boat, i noticed that trying to aim the leccy right is a bit of the challenge, as on the motorguide pedal, as i go to press the button to spin the prop, the pedal also goes down itself, and i end up spinning round in circles
does anyone have any tips on using a motorguide foot pedal
thanks,
matt

Sounds like you have a cable steer model! you can do one of two things,

1 find your balance

or

2 get yourself a lean seat or pedestal seat that way your not putting your full weight on the pedal.

The rest is practice, it will come to you.

and when there is a bit of chop from a passing boat, dont bother trying to steady it as you will nearly fall out of the boat.

As hillbilly as it sounds, ever heard of the heel toe polka? Learn to use your heels and toes

You will get the hang of it.

=:{M3N0$}:=- I can sympathise with you had a similar problem when I started. I used to use a cut down Kitchen / Bar stool as a lean seat that worked a treat, then over time I got my sea legs with one foot on the pedal now it's no probs. It just takes time
