Jewfish Plastics Rod

Iím hoping someone on here can provide some recommendations on a rod for casting plastics to jewfish. Iíd like it to be two piece, rated to cast 21 grams or more with a fast action and stiff enough in the tip to set the hook, but not overly stiff. My budget is around $500.

Looking back on other posts I like the sound of the Megabass Racing Condition 6-16lbs, is there something in my price range comparable?

as you have already narrowed down your options and budget - I would only suggest you make sure you get a combo you can cast all day with.

I made the mistake of heading out with 6-8kg nitro and a 4000 reel in the early days - there was not alot of joy casting that stick for hours - especially when you are used to bream sticks.

The spots I fish dont require such heavy gear - so if you can get away with it - dont go too heavy.

Heres a post from the past with some thoughts you might find interesting
