Agree, but it think it's because these are Bass rods whilst the TSR's were Trout rods. I think i could put up with it though These get to american stores right around my birthday, seriously considering getting one of these!

regardless of all the techno stuff loomis do, they could be the greatest rods on the planet but they still make them plain old ugly!

I really cant get over the fact that these are top of the range rod and have such terrible aestetics. The pic of the baitcast rod with the short cork forgrip looks like a Kmart rod.

If I'm going to shell out ~$800 bucks for a rod I want it to look more like a Megabass than this. With Loomis, you pay the big bucks up front for a mediocre rod so that you can get it replaced for $140 every time you close the car door on it or stick it in the ceiling fan.

I have to disagree, i think they look awesome although the blue looks a bit off however the grips are extremely comfortable, the GLX blanks are unbelievably sensitive and some of the best out there. Out of interest have you ever fished with a GLX? Not having ago just asking..

He's not commenting on the performance, he's questioning the aesthetics. I think they're fugly. They look like something an amateur rod builder accidently messed up on.
Great blanks or not, they're doing themselves a huge disservice by DohDohDohDohDohing out on bling.
Of course it isn't bling that will help you hook a fish up, but at the end of the day if these rods were actually sexy, their sales would be through the roof.

Disagree CowanCreekDave the people with the money to buy these want performance, looks are secondary. At this price range people after bling are a minority.

G Loomis are not the only ones using this new blank technology.
