I have broken 2 tips of my 7' rod so far, i now have just trimmed down the tip and put on a new tip guide and i have a custom 6'10", i almost prefer the rod this way, it is a little stiffer and has been just as easy to cast with.

Neither breakage was due to a fish. i hit the tip once while i was casting with another rod and the other time the line wrapped around the tip mid cast and on the first jerk the braid dug in and snapped the tip.

Still love them and will buy more!
