ok so I went out for a flick this morning ,got down to my spot and it started to drizzle with rain. I stood under a shelter for a few minutes and tied on a eco-cx40hs 527, the rain eased off and away I went .My first point of call was a stone type wall which gave me my first bit of structure ,it was almost low tide.
[IMG][/IMG]

So I put a cast on the left side of the wall casting to the end and bringing the lure back toward the shore, 1st cast nothing, casted again then "WHACK" like it his last supper, keep in mind this is my first ever bream on a lure .

not the best pics but you get the idea,im guessing around the 30 -33cm mark ,a solid fish first up .
Now being a bit of a newby to the area I decided to go for a bit of a walk, 40 min later ,not much structure and I don't really like casting blind at nothing, I found a little boat shed, woohooo!!! any way after a few casts with the same lure I was surprised again with this specimen ,I fine hit too ,

not a bad little luderick around 20cm mark, anyway was a good morning considering I was going to go home due to the rain,i walked about 2hrs and fished pretty hard for my fish, and by the way the bream was caught 20mt from my car,in hindsight I shoulda stayed there.....

Nice man, I recognise both those spots. You don't get too many luderick on lures and they go hard.

Correct - "f&$@ knows why"??? - Maybe you didn't know that there are companies that make good braid?

True in my experience. Varivas and Unitika have always been right up there, though in value for money I think Sunline Super PE takes the cake.

Fireline is fine for alot of fishing - I've still got crystal on alot of my reels - but when you mention micro vibes - thats where it falls down.

Because of firelines memory, it tends to coil off the reel - where I fish, alot of bream hit the lure on the drop and bight timidly - so those coils add slack to the system and make it harder to register the lure being taken.

Limper lines that dont coil are better suited to this presentation. I know buggerall about lines but Sunline PE 8lb gives more direct contact with the lure on a free fall than fireline.

But when casting long with Hardbodied bibbed minnows, the direct contact isnt so vital.
