Just called the Southland and Waverly Gardens stores of Optical Superstores and they dont stock Zeiss lens wipes.
Mentone Optical have them for $7.95 for a pack of 50 |

I don't think Zeiss is going to give out their secret formula too easy, but on the box it says they contain isopropyl alcohol and are ammonia free.

check out the Peeps glasses cleaner. I’ve got one. It is ok, but a bit slower than cleaning them with the bottom of your T-shirt.

Yeah I tried to phrase my question so they could answer as little or as much as they liked - "can I use them on a plastics lens" is the key piece of info I'm after.

From what I've read so far - the Zeiss are very highly rated in tests and anecdotally but I'll have a look at your one aswell Last edited by yellow door 1; 03-02-2019 at 01:34 AM. |

So far its pretty clear that "Karen" likes them
I do like the idea of getting 500 cleans out of one unit - 2 for $10 on ebay isnt bad for 1000 goes - compared to $20 for one set at office works Last edited by yellow door 1; 03-02-2019 at 01:32 AM. |

Why is something so simple so complicated ????? Cold soapy water and a tissue. If you want convenience, Specsavers lens wipes. The Zeiss ones dry too quickly for my liking. Specsavers are also great on sounder screens !!! A lens cloth, or anything that is used more than once, can pick up grit, then its all over red rover for your Cr39 lenses or your super duper Multicoated Glass. Howard.

The peeps work but it does still takes a bit of rubbing back and forth and I’m not sure how the 500 clean claim would go if you were constantly cleaning muck off the lenses (eg of you wear them when cooking) because it’s hard to see how the pads on the peeps could be cleaned.

You can throw plastic ( cr39 ) lenses in acetone and it wont hurt them. Alcohol is fine. BUT it is the Multicoat you have to be careful of. Zeiss lens wipes are fine on Multicoated lenses.

What about asking the optometrists where you bought the glasses as to what to use ? so we can put this to sleep
