1000-sized spin reel recommendations

G'day all, I've been fishinig a pair of Daiwa Luvias 1003 - 2007-12 model, since around 2010, on my 1-3kg spin sticks. They have been awesome - caught many freshwater and saltwater fish, etc, but, they are beginning to show some signs of wobble and wear.

I see Shimano Stradic CI+ (I know, they're an older model) are selling at a good price at Anaconda, but do also like the Luvias nameplate. In saying that, I'm also open to other suggestions.

I like the small, light reels, so would be looking at going for a 1000-size, or thereabouts, again.

Budget is around $300-350 each and I'd be grabbing a pair.

Thoughts?

Dont know the Anaconda price, but, you can get the old ones for low $200s and the new ones for low $300s just about anywhere.

The latest stradic ci4+ are a pretty good buy. As far as I'm aware that FB model is the latest and they can be found for between $230 - $240 these days. Quite a bit less than a luvias which are probably over your $350 budget for a new one. (around $370 for a 1003/2004). Both great reels. If I had a choice though I'd go for the Luvias.

What about the new Stradic fl? I think they retail at about $320. They look great, and have all latest tech in them. I have a few of the fk models and love them.

Both good reels, if you can get to a tackle shop with your rod and see which one feels best to you, much like a ford/holden thing.

Cheers all, love the Luvias, but if $$$ don't stretch, will take a Stradic for a spin.
