Home Made Success

Hey Guys.
As most will know, i started making my own lures about 7 weeks ago, as i couldn't fish at the time, this was the next best thing!!!
Anyways, in my first fish in 11 weeks, i tried my home mades.
SUCCESS!!!
I caught 4 fish on them, and dropped a few. Plenty of hits, which i missed or dropped manly due to crappy trebles. I am now a chemically sharpened man only!!!
The lure worked so well, it outfished oargees, even the gold oargee!!!
The lure that did the damage is now in the hands of Bear, who is testing it down in Collie. Have Fun Mate.

Each lure takes about half an hour of labour time to do the whole thing. Maybe a bit more, i'm not definate. It takes a while for paints and glues to dry.
It is well worth it, as the costs are less than half of most commercially bought lures.

Bear has the lure so a pic I can't get a pic right now. He'll prolly post one later. We didn't get a pic with the lure in the fish' mouths. I've made three more, and i'm currently building a couple.
I have the week off, so i'll build a whole stack, now that i know they work.

Hey guys.
I've got a few people interested in buying some of my lures at around cost price. Somewhere around 5 dollars each.
The quality is not as good as the name brands, but the action is unbelievable (due to the balsa body), and the fish catching ability has been proven. I wont be making profit from this.
I may also be able to supply lexan bibs at a reasonable price.
Just post here if your interested.

You need a name for it! What colours are you painting them in? Gold no doubt... :P

Mate the lures are hard to accurately duplicate. Bear can you post a pic of the lure for me.
I'm trying to think of a name.
Guys, as i'm only new too this, it is hard to make each lure the same. I can assure you that each lure will be tested for action, and the colours will be good. I'm thinkin of making the lure a tad shorted in length. I have many variations. I'll bring heaps down to the next boaters day!!!
The colours at the moment are gold, bronze, red, yellow, blue, green, silver, and mixed colours. Rather than order them, hows about i bring them to comps, boaters days, etc, and you can buy them there?
I still need posts of interest though!

Hey Guys.
these are two of the lures i've made for Bear. They are at their simplest without bib or extra paint patterns. ut this is the general shape. The tow point is on the bib, and i can adjust for depp or shallw divers. These have not clear coat on them, so when finished, they are a tad shinier.
