When I applied more tension to the braid, it seemed to snug up tight a bit better. I need to trim the tags a bit closer though.

At the moment I'm pretty happy with the knot, the big test will be tomorrow...Will just have to wait and see how it goes I guess.

best general leader to flurocarbon knot there is, if you arent tying it you are missing out.

Shouldn't it be braid to leader?

what do you mean i tie all my leaders back onto themselves making a perfect loop which i then use to lassoo all the fish

Well, the knot worked a treat.
I was rather worried about if I had tied it properly and whether it would slip or hold up but the knot got put to the test on this Sampson fish on the very first drop of the morning and never failed me for the whole day...So I'm rather happy. Perfect way to test it.
The best part was that I could now run much longer wind on leaders.

Might give it a crack in the lighter line classes now.
