Fishing Barcelona?
G'day guys, bit of a long shot here, but has anyone done any fishing in Barcelona or surrounding areas? I have a conference there in May and am planning on taking a light travel rod (the conference is a week then I have 10 days to do what I please). It's on the coast in the tropics so I'm assuming there will be fish somewhere, and google tells me there are some nice little trout streams inland (I'll pack my little tent so I can go for a bit of a hike if need be). But yeah, just wondering if anyone had any first hand experience in the area.
Cheers! Last edited by Broomstick; 26-03-2015 at 10:55 PM. |

There's some nice catches to be had in Spain, the local bars always produced with Sangria definitely helping catch rates. That was Madrid but Barcelona should be even better...
No idea about the fishing though |

Cant remember the Main jettys name, but it was at the end of La Rumbla strip. It had literally thousands of decent sized fish, that would feed on anything. I think they were Mullet. It would be like shooting fish in a barrel..
If i were you id forget the fishing and just enjoy the other aspects as others have alluded to.. |

Up and over from Barcelona you will get to Comminges and Foix in France, very good fishing for trout, Dace etc. European fish are far less aggressive than aussie fish so different techniques are needed.
I always pack a travel rod and some lures, often they never get wet but when you catch fish in a foreign land it's pretty cool. |
