Getting there Ice
I notice you use the Ryobi one's - do you use them for work aswell? I got the 9 pack from bunnings about 18 months ago. It gets light use on muck around projects. So far I've managed to kill the reciprocating saw (lent it to a mate and he was leaning on it too hard - (I watched him do it until smoke started trickling out of the motor)) and 1 battery (replaced twice because the new battery was faulty aswell) but everything was replaced on the spot so its no biggie. And that returns policy was a big part of my choice of the ryobi's. Funnily enough my "off brand" spare battery (less than half the price) has been very well behaved and out lasted the original battery. How are you finding the Ryobi's? Nah don't use them for work... well unless the tax man asks then yes i do...lol
I don't get on the tools a lot any more, i have contractors doing that for me, i mainly do design and programming these days. I don't have the reciprocating saw, i do have a dewalt reciprocating saw, circular saw, impact driver, hammer/drill/driver kit from a few years ago that is fantastic. the ryobi stuff i just buy the skins when i need a new tool... have one drill, two sanders, hot glue gun, planer, blower, fan, work flood light and so far impressed but will certainly be giving them a good old test on this boat build

It's taking shape Craig, looking good.
Do you have an idea of cost of what the materials, fittings etc will be once it's complete? Not meaning sounders/leccy/outboardor trailer but everything else such as seats, livewell, steering, carpet, cleats, bilge/pump fittings etc. Would be interested in how it compares to buying a hull.

Keeping all the receipts so i have a real answer. It has cost me more as i have bought additional power tools etc that aren't throw away items. I will include disposable items in my final calculations

I have been trying to work out the best way to work the fibre glass roll so it easy to roll out and cut for the up coming glassing jobs.
I came up with this. My work bench is an old dining table and the roll fit perfectly between the legs. a few off cuts and screws later and its mounted easily.
