Ended up ordering a 3500H Catalina. Was gonna get a 4000 but im not fishing that deep and theyre the same body but with different sizes spools and rotors. Will be running pe3 40lb Saltiga 8 braid ��

Niiiice man. That would look really neat on that rod too! how much line will you be able to fit on it?

200m of PE3 according to Daiwa, but it'll probably fit a bit more. I'm only fishing depths of around 21m so i thought this would be good for the job. If i need something bigger later down the track, that'll be a good excuse to go the Saltiga

Yeah, I mean, your limitation is only going to be what your rod can handle in this case so there wouldn't be any point in using any more than 200m of 40lb if you're chasing kings.

Feels really good. It's a lot heavier than any of my current reels but balances well with this rod. Weird how the 3500H is heavier than the 4000/H.
