Hey guys

I’ve been watching stacks of YouTube fishing vids, mostly yank ones for bass etc, and I’ve found a lot of vids about lucky tackle box unboxings.

What a fantastic concept.

Is there anything similar in Australia? Love the idea of a monthly subscription fee and a box of lures every month.

Anyone in the tackle industry know of anything?

Imagine a box with a bream hb, some plastics, spinner bait, surface lures for bass, swim bait
!!!!

The possibilities are endless!!!!!!!

Thoughts?

I imagine the Australian version would be all the things that don't sell.

I've seen it done with international foods/snacks and hiking gear.

I've thought about it quite a bit. It'd be cool, but I feel like it'd be impossible to make up a decent box, given how expensive lures are here, and we'd just end up with boxes of bargain bin crap sitting in our garage... I suppose it'd be possible with plastics, or if someone managed to strike a deal with a distributor.

The ones I’ve seen in the states have some quality name brand gear inside

I’d pay say up to $100 a month subscription

I would be happy if the box included majority quality gear, not fussed how many different lures, but I’d also be happy with trebles, hooks, split rings, maybe some tools, leader, tungsten weights.

I doubt I’d be the only bloke who’d sit by their mail box for something like this

Even a few stickers and a hat etc would be nice too

I’m not expecting a shoe box crammed with jackalls and mb lol

Yeah, I was thinking more in the order of $20/month haha. But yeah, terminal gear would actually be cool as well. I reckon if you could strike a deal and get your hands on stuff like cranka crabs or chase baits squid (anything that's developing hype) as an early exclusive you could make a killing. Dudes would be signing up for 3 boxes a week under fake names.

i get approached monthly by people wanting to do a monthly sub thing, all of which never get off the ground due to most of their offerings being from alibaba as no one locally will supply them.

There is one in the works though that is planning something to launch soonish (not the one in the link above) ,and will have mainly japanese brands and the non japanese brands are pretty well known and of high quality.
