I've been pestering a few facebook pages with endless questions about worms.

The 2 front runners, in the "Best Bait for Worms" thread, were Oats and Water Melon.

Both camps swore they had the best bait - which is why I've come to rely heavily on independent testing

Try a control with just plain newpaper with nothing underneath

That huge dump of rain we had washed out the traps.

I went to check the night after and the place was saturated and not a worm to be seen.

So Mother nature just pissed on my dreams.

I did manage to scrounge a few out of the nearby gutter

Actually thats just reminded me of a big old cobblestone compost heap at another park - we used to jump of the shed roof into the leaves as kids - should be something there
