For smaller, bream size plastics I steer clear of the headlock style jig heads. Zmans float and on a standard type head or better still the squidgy type with that wire hook, when the lure rests on the bottom it sits bum up, waving its tail in the current just begging to be eaten. The headlocks, with that keeper down along the shank prevent small plastics doing this and they just lay flat on the bottom. Try it in a bucket of water and you'll see what I mean.

I remember from my spearfishing days - the easiest time to hit a King George Whiting was when his head was in a cloud of sand while feeding. Head down - bum up = Go in for the kill |

They dont have to be the best glue, that's why Ive gone with the cheapos, about 50 cents each. that said im still on my first tube of Aldi super glue and its been in use since Nov last year!! and its sticks my fingers together as well as any of the exxy superglue I've used.

But the Bunnings packs make alot of sense - always carry a spare just in case the lid is glued on to the one you've used |

Like Howard i have been using the cheap alternatives for years now. To assist with the lid getting glued on thing i simply tap the base of the tube a few times on something firm which seems to clear the glue from the the cap end then wipe it with a tissue.

Very good idea - I remember with Shoe Goo Glue they recommend using a blob of Vasoline in the lid to stop adhesion - I might give that a crack in conjunction with the tapping
