Daiwa RCS is only the beginning. Shimano has Yumeya which is the equivalent.
Then all the unofficial tuners are quite amazing.

Yep. I got one about 3 weeks ago and it lacks the crispness of the patriarchs and even majorcraft volleys. Also the back of the reel seat seems to have too much material to fit the reel in well. It is quite attractive regardless of its budget price bracket.

I cant compare it to the 2 rods u mention but I would certinly describe the rod as 'CRISP'.
If ur not happy with the DM i would be more than happy to take it off ur hands for the right price

The drunken monkey is far from a noodle, isn't it? I've got a tcurve tournament spin 702 XL and that to me feels like the biggest noodler ever, I save it for cranking fat ones. Anyone else think the same? Even the fle-x-lite steez I got which I thought was designed to be a noodle seems less noodly.

Hmm, maybe I need to recalibrate my senses for bream fishing...
I use rods like 70MF and 610mxf (10-17lb, 10-14lb) and mates call'em spineless.

Well if its crispness you want try these:

http://www.purefishing.com.au/rods/p...arch-xtr-rods/
Mid ranged but one of my all time favourites.
I have the 6'8" 4-10 and have fished the 6'10" 2-6lb

http://www.majorcraft.co.jp/catalogu...sp?mode=id/144
Also mid range, also makes great BC rods too.
For its rating it has a very nice backbone.

Lastly, these are the crispest rods I've known.

Glx 801s jwr.

Maybe I've got the wrong rods for breaming in Sydney?

This!

And I may add Daiwa in size 2000 which shimano doesn't have

As suggested earlier, get a Daiwa and see for yourself
