Just visit your local tackle stores in person might be a good way to go

I work in a tackle store

G'day BTF
I have worked in the tackle industry since the age of 15 on & off (retail & wholesale)(40 years on) i'm back in retail tackle again working in a store i used to - i suppose you could say managed for a while a few years ago here in S.A.
I guess the main advise i can give you is make your self known to the owners of the near by tackle stores & if your school organises work experience see if they can contact these stores & get you in the door, but you need to understand that you could be packing bait or sinkers into packets, vacuuming the floor, dusting & other meanial tasks while the owner will call you off these jobs & show you how the register/ computer works, how you fill out gift vouchers etc & the kind of sales pitch required to sell fishing tackle to the knowledgable & not so knowledgable fisho's.
all in all can be a rewarding experience & you will know if you want to go further down that track, ie do a management course & later manage a tackle store?
good luck with your future endeavours.

Do work experience it will give you a chance to see what it's like in retail and also give the employer the chance to see how good or bad you work and when you have finished the work experience hand in your resume and you might just get a job

And i forgot to tell you that you never have any money when you work at a tackle shop because as soon as you get paid you spend it on lure, reels, rods or maybe it just me
