Nice fish Chucky, I just noticed there is some blood coming from under her gills. Did she swim away alright?

Cheers

I can assure you that the fish swam away with much gusto after spending a few hours in Chucks beaut live well.
It was only a surface scratch but we decided to keep an eye on it for a while just to be sure.
That fish had us guessing at first as it took off on its first run.The hole it left in the water had me chasing it with the electric as we thought it may have been a schoolie. The water was very dirty from recent rain so even though we were in very shallow water we couldnt make a positive idenitfication.
cheers

have you ever seen a prouder man???

Although this isn't a bream I've just gotta put this one up. This is my mate Johho & he only ever lure fished once before when he got a bream on a galaxia just on dark(sorry no pic of that one). On this morning we hooked into a nice snag full of estury perch and the only lure that worked was the ever faithfull strikepro. How is the proud grin on this dude?

Apologies, but a few more prizes

Apologies to all. With everything I've been doing I thought I had posted this earlier.

During our post out of the Strike Pro packs to anglers we had an issue with the packages. While we did not get all lures back, we did get most and thankls to OZ Post for their help. This stuffed up our plan for the Lure Tour so instead we're building up the 4 packs to 5 Strike Pro lures that will be used as runner up prizes. Depending on the number of extra entries we get in the trout section will depend on whether we go 3 to 1 with more in bream or 2 for each section.

Once again, apologies for the problems and lets give it a big finish.

Yum Yum Strike Pro Pygmy

Maybe these thing should be called gulps instead of Pygmy II. The sad thing was this girl didn't survive such a wicked hook up, but she went to a good cause being my Dinner. 8 others were either tagged and released or just released. This one went 31 cm FL

Rainbow Pygmy The Monster Slayer!!!

This baby went 44 cm FL.
The Rainbow Pygmy was brand new, this was the first hook up for it and it totally trashed the back trebble. 2 of the 3 hooks were almost straight, so I was very lucky to land this baby.
I'd like to know what others think. I don't wan this to turn into a bag Strike Pro session I just breif answers to the following questions.

1/ Am I expecting too much of such a small hook to hold its form and not staighten?

2/ I think the hooks are the achilies heel of the entire Strike Pro range. I always change the hooks on the Galaxia's to Dawia trebbles, Red VMC trebbles or single hooks. What do you think of the hooks?

3/ What little tricks if any do you employ to make the lure work best for you? I quite often weight the front trebble and even add weight to clip I use to attach the lure to get it into the strike range or hold it there longer.

As a boy they always caught my eye when passing by a fish and chip shop sitting on display with the rest of the fish. These days you don't see them round that much so i was surprised when i got this one on a still afternoon. Small fry fooled him good!
