Current edition of Saltwater fishing as a mini creek boat feature. I personally would go for a little outboard and then pole the boat around the shallows. Just my opinion.

A) sell the tender on ebay and save up untill you can get a second hand hobie kayak.

B) sell the tender on ebay and save up untill you can afford a decent tinny or boat.

I have gone through all of this sort of cheap elecy on a old hull somone gave me etc etc and allways wound up having spent more than i thought i would and finished up with somthing i am not happy with,

Think about it this way.

Elecy = $300
Battery = $300
Charger = $100
Wireing, battery box, consumables etc = $100

Total $800

Result?
A slow small craft with very limited endurance that in my opinion you will strugle with in any sort of current.

I dont mean to shoot this idea down mate or any disrespect but as i have done many similer projects in the past i would warn against it.
Cheers mate and good luck.
