Save yourself some money get a motorguide 55lb stronger more accurate spotlock and better battery.

a 55lb will do the trick no issues. Retail for around 1900 which comes in a few hundred less then minn kota i-pilot.

gonna have to push the motorguide xi5 as well.

if you havent seen it, take it from a pro

they are awesome motors.
55lb will do it fine. I had a 440 mako frenzy and had a 55lb motorguide wireless (model before xi5) and it did it with ease.

Cannot go wrong with Minn Kota! Mates have had water snakes in the past nothing but headaches and problem after problems. 55lb should be fine.

Thanks for the info guys I'll still be going with the minn Kota as I have owned 2 of them before and never had any problems. Looks like the 55lb will do the job.

Who has the best price Brisbane/Gold Coast?

Get the biggest you can afford. An 80lb 24v has the advantage of longer running times, more grunt (esp. in current & wind) and less need to charge if you away for a few days.

Depends where your fishing mate....if from the coast brissy area and want to spot lock on a running tide in the seaway the 80lb will be the go... if just using around the canals and to adjust and hold your drift in the seaway a 55lb is fine.... mates got a 55lb on his 440 renegade it works pretty good but cannot keep spot lock for longer then like 30-40 seconds on a full run in or run out tide...

Go check out keoghs marine for prices mate they are very hard to beat and just on brissy road
