Braid to leader knot
Hey
I'm having trouble with using a double uni knot for my braid to leader. The knot is too thick and keeps getting caught in the runners. Are there any thiner knots that would help my cause I fish with a dawia pinister. Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

Nothing wrong with the Double Uni, I use it for tying my 3 and 4lb leaders but it does get bulkier in the bigger size leaders like you said. Try the FG Knot, or the Slim Beauty. The improved Albright is a quick and easy knot aswell. See what works for you! Cheers Todd

Most of the guys I know use the slim beauty knot. As the name implies, it's nice and slim. You can easily find out how to tie it if you do a Google search.

I'm a noob and just successfully switched from double uni to FG knot. The easiest way to tie it:

I used to use an improved albright, I could tie it in less than 10 seconds.
But recently learnt how to tie and FG knot and it's the best thing I've done ever since I've been fishing, takes me about 30 seconds but totally worth it! |

i've been using the FG also with great success, many times thought i was going to loose a lure and the FG won hands down, can't seem to loose a lure, touch wood.

Have been using a 5 turn surgeons knots for quite a while, occasionally gets caught up with thicker leader but still pretty good.

Stuff tying the FG... Maybe for bigger fish but for Bream a slim beauty will do.

I cant recommend the slim beauty highly enough for all common line classes. Bit easier to tie than most knots Loob and firmly test pull it, nothing too jagged and you'll be sweet
