Just to make things clear and to avoid confusion, by "team event" we mean that you choose a partner to fish with before the event and then you both fish for a total combined weight, very similar to how it is done at the Australian open held at Sydney.

Ok that all sounds good just that boat insurance thing is ****************. For the younger guys that are looking at entering its a big dissadvantage. My boats not insurered and I dont fancy forkin out a truck load to get it done.

Here you go!

all right..... here is what we have so far!

Thanks to josh for this

V.S.P Bream Electric Event Rules

FORMAT: The V.S.P Bream Electric Event is a teamed event, two competitors will fish from a boat as a team, there catches being weighed together, for a total team weight. The team with the heaviest bag at the end of the round wins. Anglers will start fishing at 7am and fish either lures or flies for the duration of the competition, anglers will weigh in at the briefing location at 2pm, failure to get to there on time will result in a penalty of 5g per minute late

BOATS: Electric propulsion only. Outboards are allowed but may only be used at idle, this is to help save your electric batteries. If seen going any faster you will be automatically disqualified. Boats need to be insured and registered according to state law and your insurance requirements. All boats must adhere to state laws regarding safety equipment and water rules.

LIVEWELLS AND FISH: Livewells must be a minimum of 50L, they can be as simple as an esky and battery powered aerator. You may only have four (4) fish in the livewell at any one time. If you catch a bigger one the smallest in the well goes back. Your four fish will be weighed in at the end of the day- heaviest bag wins. Fish need to be 26cm to the fork, all bream must be weighed in alive and released in a healthy state. Any fish that dies will become ineligible and will not be weighed.

Ohh yeah about Insurance....

Well so far.. We've been talking to C.A (cant say who) and they think that it would be best if we keep UNOFFICIAL event just to keep the Insurance down...But we can still have a prize i.e Josh is fishing HE says "i bet you $20 that i can win" Greg says "yeah ill bet you $20 too" keeps going on... hope you under stand!

Got any qs plz ask!

No I dont want a quote or anything, im saying that insurance is very costly and to the younger guys like me who only have a casual job its allot of money to fork out.

cheers, Nathan

Cant the insurance be in some sort of disclaimer . Ie . I Crabcrusher , of the United States of Breaming, herby agree that i am completly responsible for my any damages or injury that may occour on my boat ,The SS minnow, on the before mentioned date . I hereby adhere to agree to any Authority bylaw , and will not hold any person , but my self. , resposible for any breach in the Authorities rules.I agree to induct and and aknowledge any passengers on my boat with the relevant safety proceedures and process,s that should be adhered to , and if they do not adhere to these i shall take full resposibility for these ..
something like this may get you away with the insurance clause?

ok due to peoples concerns we have decided to take out the requirement for insurance of boats for the comp, if you have it thats great but it is not a nesesity. The bass eletric events are run without the requirement of insurance or disclaimers so i dont think its nessesary
