ABT Hopkins River Bream Classic

Due to the success of the Victorian Bream socials held in the past we have had allot of interest and support from fellow Bream fisherman wishing to help make these gatherings bigger, better, more competitive and more frequent. So because of the lack of organised Bream competitions in Victoria we are bringing to you the first inaugural ABT Hopkins River Bream Classic being held at Warrnambool, Hopkins River in December this year.

Grab a friend and team up to test your skills against the best local and interstate anglers for a chance to win up to $10,000 in cash & prizes!

Get in fast to secure your Team's position in the Classic. Entries are running in fast and they wont last long.

For all the info about the Bream Classic please visit the link attached bellow or call the numbers listed for any other help.

Information & Entry Forms

Cheers, Nathan

Will have to speak to Ralph, Theo and paddleboy first...I'm pretty keen to enter. I'm taking it that it's an all age event, yes?

Unfortunately there will be a minimum age, hull and horse power restriction of 16 years old, 3.70 metres and 25hp due to public liability guys.

cheers, Nathan

Snapps and i are seriously thinking of coming over for this one, you guys have told us so much about this "hoppies" that this sounds like the perfect time to come over for a fish

great work guys i hope it all goes well for you, and if what you have told us is true i can't see it not being a sell out

are you going to have a "Max" boat limit?

cheers chucky

Hi Guys

At this stage we will be having a max team entry of 40 teams or 40 boats etc. This River while fantastic with huge Bream isn't the biggest in the world and if we had 100 boats up and down the river it may effect the fishing and we want the people that do fish the event to have a great chance of catching good bags of bream so we decided that 40teams was a nice number that would allow the fishing to still be red hot on both days and still make the comp very competitive without too much stress on the system and the fish.

This is why its important to get on the bream website down load an entry form and get that form filled in with your money order to me ASAP. I will give everyone a call to let them know that I received their entry and that they are in the comp once I recieve the entry form.

Thanks Guys

Hi Chunqx

Due to the fact that it is a teams event if you are a non boater and have a friend with a boat providing it meets ABT regulations you can enter your team in the event. Unfortunetly its not like normal ABT events where you can enter as a non boater and hope for the best you must enter as a team not individually.

Thanks Mate

Hi guys,

As a local, unfortunately the tournament falls on a bad weekend for me this year and I will be unable to compete.

However, for anyone that is interested I will be offering some support in catching that prize winning fish/bag.

I have lived on the estuary for 8 years now and I will make available some very good locations (GPS position or Landmarks) that have produced some very good fish in the past. I will also be hitting the estuary pretty hard right up to the comp and therefore I can provide up to date information on the distributions of fish along the estuary.
Here is a few pics from some of those areas, enjoy!

If anyone is interested, please pm me. Sounds like it will be a bumper weekend, especially if there are all 40 boats on the water

Cheers
