I dont think it matters --

OSP make a lure - hurricane and austackle bring out similar lures just like they always do but will deny it ..(yes - not all fishos are dim)

Just buy what you like and use it ... Todays market has somerhing for everyone..

I use osp but have a bag of bents that i get 3 for $6 off facebook that come from
china and they work fine in areas where i dont dare throw an OSP..

If Ozzies Anglers with limited skill are happy to pay $33 + for a lure because they think it will help them catch more fish good luck to them

Seriously its not the Lure that catches the Fish

Its the way its presented 90% of the time and the conditions its presented in

Im sure that sometimes more often than not esp with Bream a lure more floaty will pin less Bream than a lure that goes subsurface easily IMAO

We used to weight our OSP centre trebles with a little Fly Tyers lead most days

So the guys that have limited skills pay $33+ For the rest of us Throw the SWITCH 66

Regards NORDY

Keep the smart remarks out of it and keep it civil or this will go the same way as others.

Can anybody find any good videos of the action of these types of lures in close up ?

I can find some where they cast to the horizon and hook up

Sorry Guys Im probably being bit harsh I hope I've not offended anyone.

Probably ment to say in the same conditions and situation that all similar lures would achieve the similar results

Its angling skill 90% of the time with the right type of lure

Not the exact lure

No Offence intended to anyone

Will look forward to it , i have never used these types of lures before so its another thing to look foward to in 2014

Apart from Sexton and a few others i don't think they are widely used in W.A,,that may change.

Good video ,would love to try these on squid over shallow weed beds also,i can't see squid being able to resist that wounded baitfish action.

Apparently your 100% correct in saying there not widely used in WA.

Whiteys Tackle in Australind WA has been having Awesome Results & Sales with Bents, Hurricanes & OSPs.

Maybe give Whitey a call for the Heads Up

Pretty Sure he Fishes them himself also.

OSP will get you more fish, maybe not when they are bitting there heads off. But what separates the OSP Bents are when the fish are a bit shut down you always seem to get them to bite on an OSP. I actually canned one of my mates on the flats the other week using a OSP, he was using one of the copies mentioned. I gave him an OSP out of my box and things started to even out.

Furtherly,

I don't see how you can say or claim that the copy is better than the original, one is made in Japan the others are made in China, Hence the price difference. One has copied not only the lure but also the colour range, and of course its better than original. You get what you pay for. I only throw the cheaper lures in the racks.

Lets see how long it takes someone to copy the Dunk and then claim there's is better.

This is only my opinion that I have theses lures, I have used all 3 mind you and I can highly recommend the OSP bent minnow.

I send a lot of OSP Bent Minnows to WA, Even Before SEXPO started using them, I think a lot more anglers use them there than you think

Cheers,
Adam
