Time for a new underwater camera
I've been using this one for ages and I got a smear of super glue on the lens that acetone wont shift. Its top right and not a huge issue - but its still annoying
But besides that - it feels like I'm using old tech when I see the slo-mo video you can take with I phones these days. So I'm after a compact, water proof, point and shoot that is better than my current one - any suggestion welcome. No go-pro becuase I need good sound aswell Here's the old one Last edited by yellow door 1; 20-09-2018 at 09:31 AM. |

Actually - now I think about it - frame rate is the issue on the slo mo - so while 4k would make the images crisper - it wouldnt help that much with slo-mo?
But 4k video should be crisper even when viewed at 1080p HD or 720p HD Last edited by yellow door 1; 20-09-2018 at 10:17 AM. |

That vid reckons unless you have a beefy computer, it might have display issues with 4k - stuttering or crashing or just really slow rendering of videos.
I dont think my computer is beefy enough for the 4k. |

just got a Panasonic Lumix FT30 Tough Camera haven't used it yet but first impressions are good, got it because I do a lot of kayaking and trekking through the bush along rivers and streams... stuff that lowers the life expectancy of a regular camera

Yeah having a camera you can bounce off rocks is almost mandatory for me

crisis over
I just scrolled down on my camera and found some movie options I'd never seen - turns out they dont mention it in alot of the advertising but the camera actually shoots in 120fps and 240fps. But the resolution is pretty low at those speeds and lighting seems to be an issue - I'm going to have to muck around with light levels to see what improvements I can make Heres the 120fps And heres the 240fps |

Adjusting the light levels and contrast after the footage has been taken is easy enough - but the resolution still isnt great
