Great news. Ill be interested to see how the fishery goes post carp. Im wondering how much the carp have silted it up. Hopefully it can get back to its glory years. It had a great reputation as a rainbow fishery, Id love to fish it but only if it has something approaching clean water - Im predominately a fly fisherman for trout.

Yeah as someone who used to drag prawn nets through the reeds at the local pond - I wonder how they think they have got the population down from 60,000 to 20 left.

Carp the size of 10 cent pieces can infest the dense reeds along the edge of a duck pond. And if there are any 6ft tall reed poking up around the edge of the lake - I find it difficult to believe that they arent underestimating the problem.

But I'm not familiar with all the methods they've used to remove the carp so maybe they're are a little more sophisticated than I thinking of.

I'll have to do some more research
