There's a thread on the Samurai 7i in the reels forum. I've one and it's a great reel for the price, especially now that you can pick them up for $70 at DohDohDohDohDoh.

The Stella and Stradic rods were like the Samurai, great value for money. The Squidgies are the follow on model aren't they?

Mike you said you knew the people at the Raby Bay tackle store, they had Stella rods. I know they've closed but they've still got a heap of stock in there. If you know the blokes that did run it ask them if they've still got one.

I have the Samuria and it is a good real for the money, but if you have the extra cash, i'd definately look at a Laguna!
Breammaster store has the Squidgy, Stella and Stradic rods in, so if your in WA check them out!
If your over east, PM Warren and see what deals he can do with shipping, cost, etc.

Dave

PS: I would agree with all the good comments about these rods. They are very nice for th cash!

Yep, cork grips, nice short length on the butt as well and they are rated around 4kg. Top rods, I own both the Stella (6.6) and the Squidgy Spin (7ft).

Actually these Rods

Squidgy 7 ft
and Stella Spin 6 6

Are $80 and $85 normal price at A Mart Qld I discovered today.

At that price they have to be good value.

which store

I was browsing at Stafford - filling in time before an appointment.

However any branch can transfer them for you at no cost.

Other branches that are big on fishing are Capalaba and Macgregor.

I am NOT connected or on commission ( I paid MORE for mine!)

But if you have a problem let me know - I have a fixer at A mart Head office. Though I am sure you will have no problems

Gary

PS: Your favourite tackle store - you know, the one with quality advice, can probably match these prices at a pinch why not try them first? If they are just a few $ more then, well you would spend that on petrol going to A mart.
