Has anyone changed the aerator nozzle that comes with the livewell on the MakoCraft Fenzy? I am thinking about replacing it with a Flow-Rite PowerStream Aerator one, I am hoping that I can unscrew the existing one and screw the Flow-Rite one on.

TIA

That looks the goods....

I have no need tp change my system, if anything I'd add a re-circulating pump to the opposite side of the well, and further to this in a perfect world, I'd have a timer that ran the pump for 1 of 5 mins, the recirc for 2 mins of ever 5 min cycle with a break of 2 mins. a minute either side...

can anyone do this, or sell me a timer switch that can be programmed to do this...

1 min fill - 1 min break - 2 mins re-circ - 1 min break - repeat....

Mako for the NT

Hi Guys,

Looking at a Frenzy for fishing the NT.

Looking at either a 4.85 with a 115hp suzi or a 5.15 with a 140hp.

I do a lot of river and billabong fishing as well as open water to Rivers ect.

Am looking at extending the size of the cast deck ,and moving the console back a bit.

Just thought i'd run it past u mob.

Cheers
DB

I think you could do it with two switches. This for the fill

http://www.flow-rite.com/product/protimer-plus

and one of these for the re-circ

Haven't seen it in one. Set them up to run as you outlined and you would roughly get what you have asked.

I have the 515 and love it to death. Use if everywhere and buying from the factory you have a bit more control over the fit out. I got a ski pole and a rear lounge seat.

Dusky_Chaser has a 515 with an extended casting deck.
Kingy has a 485 in the Max Frenzy (Plate)

Have a bit of a search around the thread and look out for those name and you will get an idea of how they have been used. Kingy had a great trip to Eden I think, some impressive offshore photos.

Awesome, well I just wanted to see if there is anything I should look out for..
I noticed no one really puts large motors on, if I got a 515, i'd be looking at a 140HP. or a 115HP for a 485. I reckon i'll defo get a max plate..

Noticed some of the guys were worried about porpoising, and wondered if I put a larger motor on, would this make it worse.

Anyways, i'm going down to Geelong in a few weeks to hopefully have a chat and order one.

Cheers,
DB

Centre Console Option?

Did anyone consider a centre console option when having their Frenzy built? Just wondering if there are any advantages/disadvantages (that I haven't thought of) over the normal side console.I suspect that a custom console will be reasonably expensive but they do look the goods on some of the glass boats (eg Scouts ect)

I've been floating around this forum for a while, but will order a 485 in the first half of this year. It's been a matter of saving some dollars and primarily working out what specs I want to make it close to the perfect boat for me.

Hi dr trout,

I have a side console and it is great but fishing one up it can lean slightly to the starboard side... CC would be ace....

I love mine to death but may have to sell to downsize as our new house has a standard size 6m garage... Sell and downsize or modify the trailers draw bar and get a CC made up. I would also add hydronic steering at the point of sale too... It's a nice touch....

My 4.85 has the swinging drawbar on the Dunbier trailer and fits easily into a 6 metre garage.

The Frenzy hasn't been seeing a lot of fishing over the past month but has had many people behind it on skis, wakeboard and tubes. I have been pretty impressed with the wake the boat has been putting out running about 25km/h. Definitely not a wakeboat but as you can see, my son has been able to get some reasonable air.

Sold the Frenzy, after 2 failed attempts at building a boat that didn't leak and travelled on the water correctly I gave up and bought a Bluefin. I am happy for others that have had better luck with theirs.

Just put an Elite Ti2 9" sounder on the console.
After nearly 8 years the console is as I had pictured it all that time ago.
