$1200!

Now, I’ve paid over a grand for a reel a few times, but damned if i’m Going to shell out $1200+ on a non-special edition/custom/limited sub 4000 sized spinning reel

Bloody hell

Yeah, but isn't it more ridiculous when people pay the same amount for a latest iphone-made in china piece of flimsy plastic junk? Anyway,it should settle around 800 after first boom relieved.

It's about 65000-70000 yen rrp, so not even $1000. Plus street price is like 15-20% off rrp anyway...

The most expensive model is JPY 72,000 and that is full RRP. Works out to be ~A$830 at current exchange rate. Hardly $1200....

I was gonna say........

$1200 sounded high

However, looking at the blatant “inflation” of the new sol price I wouldn’t be surprised tbh

following that questionable Shimano trend, they finally deleted a anti-reverse switch as well:

That non-handle side looks like what the stella should've looked like to match the old calais, and it looks like sheet

+1

Looks a bit plain Jane, however I love the Calais. Those reels are the epitome of sleek and elegant fishability!

Def needs some bling. A sturdy mechanically aesthetic knob/nut/cover thingy surrounded by some carbon fibre inlay was candy to me
