Or Calais.

+f***ing 1 finally someone sees the connection.

Ah, yes that's actually the reel I had in mind, I just had my JDM head screwed on lol.

And yes, I have always, always, always wished that Shimano would do a full chrome job on the Stella to match said reels, so I'm in full blown froth mode right now.

Yeah, but it was a limited edition and I hate the yellow-gold parts on it.

I see the connection between the reels 100%

However, when I look at my Calais and my antares’s i see smooth lines and almost sports car like “flow”

When I look at a spinning reel, I just don’t see those lines

Don’t get Me wrong though, i like silver spin reels, ie exists, I just don’t think the Stella is the right feel for the look

I may change my mind when I order one though and see it in the flesh

Nice photos. The rotor looks rather symmetric to me, so guessing that means it is still a magnesium rotor (?) which I prefer.

It'll be interesting to see the EI treatment and its ability to handle wear on the stem.

Also the lines will be different due on spin reels over baitcasters due to the body type and how it flows. Would be monumentally challenging to get similarities between the Calais and Stella body aesthetics wise.

Cant wait to see the guts and schematics more than the reel 😅

feast your eyes.

https://fishingjapan.jp/fishing/detail.php?no=2652

Dropped another bearing over the fi and two from the fe.

Waterproofing improvements, micromodule II and all silver seem to be the big features.

Nice. I'm considering one of the new Zenaq Glanz series.
