Is there a difference between freshwater and saltwater. Is one Marron flavoured and the other pilchard ??

Yeah I remember when the gulps came out - their swimming action sucked - the baits were mostly mishapen - but they still took the breaming world by storm.

So it can only be the scent and the UV that gave them the edge

Anyone remember the boat (in some tournament) that was wrapped with Samuel L Jackson's face and the quote "it's bait motherf*cker"

trout_bum remembers

From memory the boat was won in a gulp promotional competition with gulp decals all over it - so the winner decided to make some alterations based on how he felt at the time

Not sure its exactly how Berkley thought the competition would go

That's great, I never knew the back story and just assumed he did the whole thing. Must say though, its probably a bit rough to take the prize and then do this to the supplier.
I bet it caused some DohDohDohDoh along the way.

Yeah after my brief conversations with the fella. He appeared to be a man who was comfortable with his decisions

Anyone used it yet? Like YD said for some reason gulps just catch fish. Regardless of the action/shape. They just work. I'll still use them that's for sure. Maybe the scent is the key.

I've never been a huge scent user/fan but these days my opinion is it certainly doesn't hurt. So might aswell use it.
