Good stuff mate. Couldn't help but noticing the way you hold your combo, I've never seen any body hold a spinning combo under the reel stem. Do you find your wrists hurting after a while? Also, if you hold your combo like that, then I think you will have trouble using the rod that I am selling you.

Nice one, season is just about upon us again, hopefully I'll be able to get into some 6-8kg ones this year.

Fingers crossed , the Salmon pros are not even sorting the nets out this year as they believe it will be a non event with the fish staying wide and deep,,

That would be a perfect spot for saltwater fly - Geez I miss the salmon back in SA over Yorkes and down south around Victor chucking slugs. My best effort for numbers was about 20 salmon trout on Berkely smelt SP's in the Port river where the fish were smashing the plastic soon as it hit the water and if you didn't reef 'em in they would throw the jig after a couple of jumps. I keep about 8 for the smoker yum yum Pat .Do you call 'em Salmon at that size you can see the spots still so I'd call it a trout we didn't call them salmon until they lost their spots when they approached 1 kg still fun anyway Cheers Pat
