Big thanks to all the volunteers that made the deployment of the first mussel reef in the Swan possible, in particular, Terrence Thompson of Marine Men’s Shed, Steven Goynich, Lotte Dowse and Ian Dapson of Murdoch University Dive Club, the Honours student Charlie Maus and his dedicated helpers, David Oberstein and Robert Hatton, and Mark Jackman for his awesome video and editing skills. We are still looking for a few extra hands for this weekend if anyone is interested. Once we have completed the three reefs we will release the locations .... happy fishing! https://www.facebook.com/alan.cottin...2771824213159/ Last edited by yellow door 1; 21-03-2019 at 07:37 PM. |

Sounds like some pretty sh1t timing
and those toxins are no joke “It is important to note that cooking will not destroy these toxins.” |

It would take a ballsy effort to eat those ones in the Swan.
My mate did the vid for them and heres what he said when I raised the issue of toxins "It’s safe to swim, but I had to be reassured as it was alerted to us the day before diving in the Swan River. It’s eating the affected shellfish that’s dangerous as they store the toxins in high quantities. Still kept my mouth sealed" |
