Love what I'm seeing JB - I'm annoyed at myself for not building mine sooner - The bloke who made that design (you improved upon) knew what he was doing

who needs tv. hours of fun for the whole family, not to mention educational when you consider the daily life and death struggles and battles for supremacy that go on in that tank.

Hot tip - if you are going to salt down some carp - dont turn your back on it - even for a second - because there is no beast that crawls flys or swims that can resist

Got myself a new head lamp the other day and it comes with this ridiculous pressure sensitive switch that turns the red light on every time you rest your head on something - or you put it in a bag.

It can stay on for days slowly draining your battery until you need it

Today was the final straw and something had to be done

I was done with Led Lenser a long time ago. Sold everything i had and gave my H7 away. A lot of their gear is 3rd party origin rebranded.

I wouldn't mind getting a hold of the Olight Wave - where waving your hand in front of the headlamp is the actual 'switch'.

Ahh Thats weird - I logged into their facebook page and there was a quote from you about the H7 - I didnt check to see how old the comment was.

Yeah I remember being amazed by the first Led Lenser I saw many years ago - the old one with the tight rectangular focus-able beam.

The new H14R.2 I got claims to be rain proof and the battery life on the rechargeable battery is awesome - its a genuine 10 hours at 450 lumens - and you have the option to boost to 1000 lumens which stays on for about a minute before you have to press the button again to restart the minute.

My major gripes are that dumb button on the back and that the beam doesnt focus all the way down to a really tight spot -(it goes close but not close enough). But I do like the single handed slide focus and the battery life.

It has a heap of bullsh1t features I wont use - and as always - a torch can never be bright enough but I needed something with longish battery life for night time reconnaissance - so its currently doing what i want better than my other head lamps
