240v to 110v
Hey guys
Got an american charger that's 110 volt and know I need to use a transformer or inverter or something to get our 240 volt power that will drop it to the 110 with the right plugs. Can you buy them locally and what sort of price am I looking at? Cheers Addict |

I just threw out my old stepdown transformer the other day. Bummer.
Google Tortech step down transformers- I think they are in Vic and they will have something that will do what you want. |

Just be careful of the current rating of the charger. Small stepdowns are not expensive but something that can handle a bit of current can be costly. It may be cheaper to find a 240v charger to replace the 110v one if a reasonable amount of current is required and if it is not a computerized charger or similar.
