2 nd spool unitika in the bin!

Larry, Sunline Basic flouro, they come in 300 m spools, I've been using the 8 lb as leader for the last two years without issue, however I have a 4 lb which was brittle, bad batch or on the shop shelf too long who knows.

Yeah I've landed plenty of fish on it as a leader but I wont be using it as a mainline unless there is a heavy sinker on the end. It doesnt like coming back onto the spool with little resistance

Yeah I've gotten too used to the feel of braid through the water - When I spooled up with mono, I could feel the drag on the out going tide and I didnt feel like my finesse flicks were registering at the lure - so I've ditched the idea

anyways, gave it a run thismorn on a luvi 2004h, casts real nice, no tangles and pulled 5 EP between 45-50cm out of timber so out of the box it's good line very high vis which helps when perchin in the sticks.

So tell us again how your not lying about your Unitika??????

I've actually tried 3 spools of unitika over the years and one was ok but the others put me off being able to trust it.

That's 2 spools of Unitika 0.6 PE braid breaking before even going onto a fishing reel spool.

As quoted previously from your own thread, with the same line you somehow managed to still pull in 5 EP between 45-50cm, through timber!!

To simply clarify that - you spooled 2 separate spools of Unitika .6pe onto reels that was falling apart as you were spooling them. But still fished them anyway catching big estuary perch pulling them through timber. Correct.

Its rather funny that you still blame the line for wearing after a month! I don't know anyone dumb enough to fish snags with 6lb line an thing there going to come out the boss.

At some point in time your just going to have to admit, the line was perfectly fine when you put them on the reels. Its just your ridiculous expectation that 6lb was going to last as you put it "pulling EP's between 45-50cm out of timber"
