Why exist if you can live? It's dangerous but as they say 'nothing easy is worthwhile'. I dunno. Maybe being in Yr 11 and seeing so many of my own generation just living the boring day to day life through their consoles gives me this opinion. You only die once so why not live to the fullest? Life is dangerous I suppose, and so is rock hopping. It's for some but not others.
But hey, I'm sure I'll get many comments in saying this is idiotic. Good old bream fishers?

My old man lost his best mate years as ago to rock fishing, since he told me that I have given the upmost respect for the ocean and to rock fishing!

Always keep an eye on the ocean and your mate, wear life jackets and have a grab line / tether and a throw line just in case...

Respect the ocean boys and girls - she takes all and gives no mercy...

In a world where posting a nice fish just doesn't cut it anymore, in order to get noticed there will always be people trying to push the boundaries.

In 15 years time, it'll probably be considered tame in comparison to the norm.

I enjoyed the clip. If the worst were to happen I'm sure the phrase "He died doing what he loved" will be placed prominently on the gravestone.

Death by misadventure is more likely. They mightn't have too high a price on their lives but their loved ones would..

NOT impressed in any way sorry. Not a single life jacket or safety gear in sight.

Not only are they risking their own lives, but the lives of others if/when something goes wrong (rescue, police ambo's etc.) and the people they leave behind in the worst case scenario. Putting it on film and glorifying it, is not cool. Sorry.

I appreciate we are constantly being told what we cannot do any more and more and more red tape is killing a great past time, but it is the idiots that watch that, then go out to replicate it with little to no experience, that get killed.

A simple warning at the beginning means little. That is why we have some many restrictions in society today.

Stupid risk for a sh!tty queenie, shark and a few tuna.

Pack of dick heads. If they were swept in, i'd rescue their tackle, not them!!!

Great example to young folk, etc pfft

Darkhorse, you've clearly never tried spearfishing without leads. Wettie does much the same job as a PDF. (Maybe not a life jacket, but no one would rock hop with a bulky life jacket)

I remember years ago i forgot my lead belt spearfishing once, so freaking annoying

My favourite was laying on the bottom in my camo suit and shooting at an upwards angle. Very difficult manouvre with no weights lol

So relaxing on the bluewater in the suit though, effortless floating and watching, love it

I seen a few folk doing this and thought it was a good idea.

As for the Vid, I guess were always pushing the envelope to amaze in this youtube age, where decent income can be had with popular viewings, but that stuff is definitely not for me. Have felt the power of these waves on sharp rocks before and not keen to try again.

The last person to drown down Albany way in Southwest W.A was offered a PFD to hire a short distance away from his rockfishing spot,,he said no thanks i will be right.

I don't have a problem with folks pushing the limits but with these guys its like racing cars with no helmet or seat belt, you don't even know you are wearing a PFD1 inflatable and only takes a moment to put one on,they will be compusory one day for rock fishing.

Apart from that a great video.
