I've caught bream on 14lb Rockfish.

The lighter line should go real good.

Sunline makes some good stuff.....I like sniper for fishing straight through and I've had no problems using it as a leader.

I still find it hard to go past vanish as leader, especially in the 4lb and 6lb strengths

I am a yamatoyo man. Got it for the same reason you did i was using vanish when i first started out. Went to Harris Fighter and was so happy with the change.

Haven't tried Sunline leaders yet but i hear they are also good.

Harris Fighter defiantly the best ive used.
I also reckon that Sunline Basic fc is good to use for leader and its really cheap.

V Hard by Sunline.

I use FC Rock only cause its cheaper and it come in 100m spools but if moneys not an option than Id be buying V Hard. If your fishing snag country than that would be a good option. Wish i was using it when a big fella took me into the mangroves that day
