Thumbs up Sunline

sunline vhard is good stuff i use it alot and so is the yamatoyo fluoro rock fish and as with any leader i check for knot strength ,nicks and abrasion after every fish off the bank around rocks i use 6-8lb leader at 2m long(not every one's cup of tea)ive had very very bad luck with bass hard it frayed like cotten and produced spider like webbing up and down its length to the point of falure on many outings?in the end i couldnt trust it and things i dont trust get the flick!

I've recently been using the Unitika Fluro Carbon lines, the Night game is only available in 3lb, but for flats fishing I'd recommend it to anyone. Compared to most other brands of Flurocarbon it's much thinner. about 2/3 of the thickness of Yamatoyo. Comes in 70m Spools.

Not exactly sure on how much the Unitika will be, It's good quality stuff, but I'd imagine it will be around the same price as Yamatoyo ($19.99 for 70m).

Update on the Unitika Flourocarbons there are now 2 types available.

Night Game - 2 and 3lb available in 70m spools for $19.99
-Super Limp
-Great knot strength
-THIN THIN THIN
-Impressive abrasion resistance

Super Flourocarbon - 4, 6, 8 and 11lb available in 50m spools for $22.99
-Unbelievable abrasion resistance
-Triple layered
-Good limpness
-Cutting blade on the spool

Between these two types of FC all my purposes are covered from Ultralight flats fishing to locked drag battles in tight spots.

My favourite flurocarbon line is Berkley Vanish. Never had a problem!

Have thrown all my Vanish out. Lost too many fish on them. Knot strength is non-existant. Now use Yamatoyo cant fault it. The Unitika sounds the pick of the bunch with the thinner diameter. But thinner does mane less abrasion resistance(generally) and will try them when my spool runs out.

famell is my fave,. especially the 5lb. basic fc as my 2lb setup and for surface lures i run plain mono or crystal straight to the lure(due to the flouro's tendancy to sink)

I get all my stuff through Compleat Angler and Camping World in Nedlands, the shop I work at.

I've been using the Unitika FCs for ages now, and I'm pretty keen to recommend them to anyone. The Night Game is reall thin, so as someone said it's not the best for fishing snags, but it's awesome on th flats (and is good as a mainline too).

The Super FC (I dont know if thats the proper name, but it has Super written on it!) is quite a bit stiffer, but still much limper than some other FCs out there which I like. Amazing abrasion resistance - nothing beats pulling a bream straight across a pylon - that'll learn em!!
